Hi, I’m Stacy Newgent – a mixed media artist and graphic designer based in Long Beach, California. I’ve been a photographer, graphic designer, an art director, a photo editor and now an illustrator.

Janky Pets began this past spring with a simple idea: I wanted to make a “Who are the dogs in your neighborhood?” zine. Living in Long Beach, I’m surrounded by so many adorable dogs, and I wanted to get to know them all. Soon after, a few people asked if I could draw portraits of their pets. I said, “Sure—but, my drawings are kind of janky.” And that’s how Janky Pets was born haha. I'd love to make one for you :)

I specialize in colorful, fun artwork and quirky designs.
